SMART is a well established and highly regarded Charity providing high quality services to support and inspire recovery. Our innovative projects are designed to assist in transforming the health and wellbeing, prospects and opportunities of people, especially those with substance misuse; we are currently recruiting for a Recovery Facilitator.

The successful applicant will be trained to deliver support to people wanting to access drug and alcohol treatment. Whether you have worked in this field before or are looking for a career change you may be the person we are searching for.

Working as part of an energetic team, the post-holder will proactively engage drug and alcohol users who have been identified as requiring intensive support to overcome the effects of their problematic drug or alcohol use.  They will provide a range of interventions to those individuals and support them through the process of accessing treatment to achieve successful outcomes.

Key Duties

  • Assessment of treatment need and risk
  • Delivering harm reduction advice and information, both in services and the community
  • Working with the client to achieve recovery  plan goals, and successful outcomes
  • Delivering brief interventions, motivational engagement , and psychosocial interventions
  • Monitoring of client progress through key-working and information management
  • Delivering Groups
  • Administration and report keeping
