25 hours – 8-1pm, Monday- Friday

Salary range

£14,000 pro-rata

Summary

Working as part of an energetic team, the post-holder will take responsibility for managing the kitchen at the centre, including meal creation, preparation and service. The centre is a dynamic space and whoever fulfills this role will need a good understanding of confidentiality and strong professional boundaries. Experience of working within a professional kitchen is preferred.

Key Duties

  • Prepare and cook meals within the centre for service users; this includes a cooked breakfast and working with food donations for lunch provision.
  • Manage a team of kitchen volunteers
  • Mange kitchen including, stock control, ordering of supplies and menu creation based on donated supplies.
  • Ensure all cleaning material and chemicals are stocked and stored in line with COSHH Health and Safety requirements.
  • Ensure cleaning of kitchen and dining areas is carried out in line with COSHH guidelines.

To meet the demands of this role the post you will need to be able to demonstrate empathy whilst keeping professional boundaries. You will need to have a current food hygiene certificate (minimum level 3) for this post.
