SMART offers a range of community projects, for supporting people at any stage in their drug or alcohol treatment journey.
We provide ‘Open Access’ drop-in services within most of our projects, enabling anyone to attend without an appointment. The times are different in each service, so Get in Touch to find out when you can attend locally.
For those who are ready to make a change in their drug or alcohol use, we offer the SMART Skills for Recovery programme, 5 days per week in most services. The programme builds skills to help people better manage situations and emotions, and to learn new ways to engage with each other and the broader community. By developing practical skills, like budgeting or cooking, we also help to improve people’s opportunities for the future.
Our service users describe the SMART Skills for Recovery programme as being their foundation to move forward and connect with their community.
Service users are also offered one-to-one support with a recovery facilitator, and substitute medication prescribing to help with drug and alcohol detoxification.
‘You can have as much support as you want… however motivated you are, that’s how much support you can have’ Chris, service user
