SMART offers a range of community services, including drug and alcohol treatment, homeless and rough sleeper projects, well-being initiatives and support for individuals suffering domestic abuse.
We provide ‘Open Access’ drop-in services within most of our projects, enabling anyone to attend without an appointment. The times are different in each service, so Get in Touch for more information.
Drug and alcohol
SMART provides community based drug and alcohol treatment for adults and young people in Wokingham. The service offers one-to-one recovery sessions, assessments, group activities, well-being clinics and needle exchange. Service Users can access accredited courses, training and unstructured support, such as gardening, cooking and arts.
SMART also offer online support via SMART CHAT – free, confidential support and information on anything related to drugs and alcohol. SMART CHAT is available from 6pm-11pm every day of the year. You can ask us for advice for yourself, a loved one or someone you know.
The Rough Sleeper Partnership provides a combination of Outreach Support and Assessment Hubs where homeless people can go to access help and support. The Project covers Milton Keynes, Bletchley, Bedford Borough and Luton.
The service is provided in Partnership, across the four local authority areas. Partners include SMART, Signposts Luton, King’s Arm’s Project, and Open Door MK.
SMART manage The Prebend Centre in Bedford. The centre is open 8.30-12 noon 365 days per year and provides vital facilities and services for homeless people, including access showers, clean clothes, meals and emergency food packs, health and well-being clinics, dental clinics access to Vets. Service Users are supported by recovery workers who provide advice, advocacy and signposting.
SMART provides support to anyone affected by domestic abuse and who has other complex needs across Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes. Our experienced workers assist clients to access support networks and make plans to keep safe.
