Working for SMART

Benefits

SMART CJS

SMART is a charitable organisation, and works within budget restraints. However, this is not the determining factor when planning the benefits package we offer our employees.

If you decide to work for SMART you will be entitled to the following benefits:

25 days holiday – All staff receive a minimum of 25 working days holiday, each financial year.

3 discretionary days break between Christmas and New Year – Employees also benefit from an extra three-day break between Christmas and New Year, in line with operational needs.

3 additional days holiday after three years in service – All employees who have been with the organisation for three or more years are entitled to this additional holiday.

Commitment to training and development – SMART is committed to developing its staff and helping them acquire new skills. The organisation works in partnership with Thames Valley University, to run two accredited modules in Treatment Intervention and Motivational Interviewing.

In addition,  employees are encouraged to attend external training courses and professional events, related to areas such as substance misuse, child protection, equality and diversity awareness, health and safety and IT.

Pension Scheme – SMART offers a group pension scheme with 6% employer's contribution and additional voluntary employee contribution.

Car allowances – When work involves travel, to reach or support clients that use SMART services, employees are entitled to a car allowance.

Flexible working –  SMART recognises employee needs to balance work and home life. Therefore, wherever possible, we work with you to find the best working patterns that suit your individual circumstances.

Counselling – SMART cares about its employees and provides counselling and emotional support to its employees, as and when required.

In addition to all this we offer a working environment which allows employees to be creative and encourages everyone to develop to their full potential.
