The Family and Carers Groups in Oxfordshire and Bracknell have been set up to provide information and support to family and/or friends of those affected by substance misuse. This group of people is often forgotten by providers, whose main
focus is the individual in crisis.

The impact on families and friends is often increased by their lack of understanding and information.  These group session will provide the opportunity to talk with others who are empathic to their situation and can provide clear information on the impact of substance misuse of the one that they care for.

We understand that Family and Friends have a critical role to play in helping those they care for through the trauma associated with managing or beating their addiction.
