Families and Carers Service

What does the service offer?

SMART Families and Carers Service offers sessions where relatives and carers of people with drug or alcohol problems can get advice and information on how to understand and best support their loved one through recovery.


Who is the service for?

This service is for the families and carers of problem drug and alcohol users across Oxfordshire and Berkshire East.  If you need a place to turn you can visit any of our groups for peer support and advice from a SMART worker.

Berkshire East

Substance Misuse Family & Friends Group

Last Thursday of the month 7-9pm at New Hope, Bracknell

Oxfordshire

Family and Carer Groups:

Abingdon (from Tuesday 16th Feb 10)

3rd Tuesday of the month, 6-8pm at 35 Ock Street, Abingdon OX14 5AG

Banbury (from Tuesday 8th Dec 09)

2nd Tuesday of the month, 6-8pm at Banbury Health Centre, 58 Bridge Street, Banbury OX16 5QD

Bicester (From Tuesday 23rd Feb 10)

4th Tuesday of the month, 6-8pm at The Causeway Centre, 25 The Causeway, Bicester OX26 6AN

Didcot (From Tuesday 3rd August 2010)*

1st  Tuesday of the month in the Community Hall behind Didcot Baptist Church, Didcot

Oxford (From Thursday 4th Feb 10)

1st Thursday of the month, 6-8pm at The Old Music Hall, 106-108 Cowley Road, Oxford OX4 1JE

Witney (From Thursday 11th Feb 10)

2nd Thursday of the month, 6-8pm, at Marlborough House, (Behind The Marlborough Hotel), Marlborough Lane, Witney OX28 6DY
