Staff at a substance misuse centre who offer people hope of a new beginning celebrated Diwali, the Asian Festival of Light. The New Hope centre in Broadway, Bracknell put on a spread of traditional vegetarian Hindu food for its visitors on Friday October 16th.
Staff entertained about 40 guests including council officers and Bracknell police's town centre team. Jillian Hunt, Bracknell Drug and Alcohol Team Manager and comissioner for the centre said: "It went really well. We had a spread of traditional food, whihc was all vegetarian, including mushroom rice and Bombay potatoes. The message of Diwali is new beginnings, so it fitted in quite well"
